Drawing conclusions not presented by most modern Biblical scholars, The Authors of the Torah Come Alive presents a unique Scenario Approach to the link of Judges/Kings period scenarios to texts found in the Torah (Pentateuch). While the author generally accepts the Documentary Hypothesis, he adds some modifications and details to the accepted hypothesis that traces the compilation of the Torah from the time of Moses to the time of Ezra the scribe. As far as monotheism is concerned, the author concludes that there are both positive and negative components in the Torah and the Tanach (Hebrew Bible). The positive components are the divine revelation found in the works of Moses (Deuteronomy), and later in the works of some 11 Torah prophets who followed the way of Moses, and utterly rejected animal sacrifice. The works of the Torah historians and legal code writers can also be seen as a positive man in search of God component. The negative components found in the Torah texts are the animal sacrificial texts found in the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers. In this work, author Barry Page heralds a new generation of Hebrew Biblical scholarship and theological analysis.
