R A Yeager has been a golfer and a storyteller since he was an adolescent. In college he was selected to that All American team his junior year. This got him the opportunity to get lessons with one of the best instructors in the country who lived and taught in Pittsburg. For the first time in his life he was taught not just what to do but how things worked in a golf swing, and the importance of a short game. He now had been given the ability to teach himself, and others. Then he was asked to coach a golf team at Lake Point Academy, a small Christian school near Charlotte NC. The team was not very good at first, but he was able to train them well enough to with the state championship both team and individual the two years he was with the team. This started him to teach on a full-time basis. A few years later he met a friend that asked him to help him with his screenplay about golf. He started just giving technical advice about golf, that later changed to writing actual scenes and in the end being a co- author of the piece. He moved to Pinehurst in January of 2019. Knowing no one, he soon started writing. His first attempt was an instructional book on golf that he later decided to put inside a fictional tale. It was a story of a person that need to learn how to play golf at a high level in 1 year. He soon changed his focus to writing the fictional tale alone, and subsequently wrote the instructional section as a separate book. The Art of Golf - A Year with Saul is the first of a trilogy, with the second book to finished by spring of 2021.
