Quincy Bragg, like so many other children, was fascinated by animal life of the distant past. Dinosaurs certainly, but far more real were the Pleistocene creatures of the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles. He recommends every ten-year-old be taken for a visit. Then another.
