Autorenporträt
Mark Twain (1835–1910) was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens in Florida, Missouri. Starting out as a typesetter, he went on to work as a steamboat pilot, prospector, and journalist before publishing his first major book, The Innocents Abroad. Coralie Bickford-Smith is an award-winning designer at Penguin Books (U.K.), where she has created several highly acclaimed series designs. She studied typography at Reading University and lives in London.
