Sandy Shaw was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire in 1958, and spent her childhood in Cornwall. With a career in hotel and catering behind her, she gained a diploma in Retail Jewellery and became a partner in a successful jewellery shop. She stayed for over 30 years, until she recently decided to concentrate on writing and painting and spending time with the family.She is happily married, has two grown up children and a large extended family. She also has a Jack Russell called Dilly, who is a huge part of their lives and is a constant source of entertainment.
