The book at hand provides an inclusive investigation on the issue of the Acquisition of Tense and Aspect among Moroccan EFL Learners. In the intriguing phenomenon of moving from the mother tongue to the target language, it is hypothesized herein that the acquisition of tense and aspect is a gradual process whereby the former is acquired before the latter. That is, there is a developmental path which constructs the surface of tense-aspect acquisition. To this end, the study scrutinizes the effect of L2 tense-aspect input on the L2 output in accordance with the academic level of the learner. The books also provides a statistical analysis on the data analyzed herein as it makes use of several SPSS tests to reach the aforementioned conclusion.

Taha El Hadari is a phD Student majoring in Linguistics at UM5-Rabat. He holds a B.A. in Second Language Acquisition (SLA). He also received his M.A. on Language and Linguistics where he made use of the Optimality Theory framework. His research interests include Applied Linguistics, Socio-linguistics, as well as language teaching and learning.
