There's a major crisis in Little Trippinghamshire! Bettie Wormington-Credenza's Home for Orphaned Weasels has been ransacked. All her weasels (and eleven rats named Joe) have been kidnapped, and signs suggest they've been taken to a Terribly Evil Location. With the help of a ghost named Nathaniel Stovepipe, a basket of guinea pigs, and the pizza-loving owner of a stationery store, Bettie goes on a delightfully bonkers adventure to rescue her animals before it's too late.

Autorenporträt
Ranke de Vries doesn't exist. Just kidding! She does. She lives in Nova Scotia with her husband, daughter, and an ornery and somewhat ratty black cat called Oscar, who, frankly, deserves his own book at some stage. She loves books, coffee and dark chocolate (Tony Chocolonely extra dark is her favourite), pretty much in that order. This is her first children's book, and she is super excited about this, as she usually writes interminably boring things about medieval Celtic Studies - just ask her family. Although not Oscar. Oscar will probably just maul you when you get too close to him, so you may just wish to stay away from him and chuck treats at him from a safe distance. In fact, he is hanging on Ranke's arm now, trying to gnaw his way through to the other side. Someone help. She may need assistance.
