Dr. Mahesh Chandra Luintel is currently a professor at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He obtained his B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) from the Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal, and M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering-Solid Mechanics) from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, and Ph.D. from the Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. His major areas of research interests include mechanical vibration, finite element method, and rotor dynamics.  He has authored three undergraduate text books: Fundamentals of Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Engineering Drawing I and Engineering Drawing II. He has published many papers in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Luintel was the co-chair of the 17th VETOMAC, an international conference on Vibration Engineering and Technology ofMachinery, which was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, in December 2022.
