Most textbooks for young learners base their listening tests on a principle that the pupils can both read and write. This project maps possible ways and means of testing listening in young learners` classrooms. The theoretical background of this work shows the ways of testing listening of young learners and sets testing listening into a wider area of assessment. This project also provides a lesson plan including a listening test as well as the experiences of the English teachers with testing listening in young learners' classrooms. The book should become a helpful tool especially for beginning language teachers who need guidance on this specific field of testing.
