Marva K. Blackmore lives in Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. A professional performing storyteller, she has told stories internationally and at venues across Canada, delighting audiences at festivals, coffee houses and on concert stages. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Tales for the Telling, Storytelling for Adults, at the McMillan Arts Centre in Parksville, BC, which showcases professional storytellers from Canada and the United States performing juried programs. A Past President of the Storytellers of Canada, she writes and produces successful storytelling shows incorporating stories and music including: "W-interlude: Christmas Music in Story and Song" and "Turn Your Radio on: Gospel Music in Story and Song." She teaches courses in Storytelling and also leads workshops in Memoir Writing Using Storytelling Techniques. She has also been an editor for over 40 years. And, she always loves a good story.
