Upon the death of Dogbagli (head of the Alladaxonu community), his younger son, Dakodonou, usurped the place of his brother Gangnihessou while he was in Allada to receive the sacrament. This usurpation provoked the discontent of Aho, heir apparent of Gangnihessou, who left his parents in 1625 to settle on the current site of the royal palace of Agbomè and found the kingdom of Danxomè.
