Judaism has a lot of interesting things to say about life, many of which come from Talmudic literature. The sages of the Talmud built their wisdom off of Biblical foundations and the wisdom they shared with us in the Talmud continues to echo in our day. Seeking to elucidate many texts and ideas from the Talmud, Rabbi Drew Kaplan explores topics such as gender, sex, holidays, and more. In his explorations of these texts and topics, he seeks to bring a reasonable approach to understanding these texts. Helping readers comprehend these texts brings a better understanding of the roots of contemporary Judaism, which, in turn, fosters a deeper appreciation of the rabbinic wisdom that lay behind them.
