If Tally and her angel, Jophiel, can't break the curse hanging over a North Yukon village since the Klondyke Gold Rush, Tally will never see her dad again. In a race against time, over frozen lakes and snowy mountains, Tally faces greater challenges than she ever imagined. Wolves, gold-obsessed hunters, and mythical beings from the stars threaten everything that matters to her. At least Tally has an angel on her side - but Jophiel seems to know these mythical beings already, and he is afraid too...

Autorenporträt
Eleanor Dixon attended an all-girls' boarding school while training as a ballet dancer. She draws from her experiences to craft the Amberwood Hall Ballet School Series, beginning with "The Graceful Ghost." Eleanor chose to infuse fantasy elements into the story, intertwining ballet with the presence of ghosts to create a unique narrative. The second book in the series introduces male characters to the school, allowing for a blend of comedic moments, teenage drama, and hints of romance. The novella, "The Ghosts of Amberwood," delves into the friendship between the protagonist, Grace, and her ghostly companion, Rodney.Additionally, the author's extensive travels, including a two-decade residency in Greece where she operated her ballet school, influence her second middle-grade series, "Tally and the Angel." Each book is set in a different country, and the author's vivid descriptions provide readers with a sense of immersion. The protagonist, Tally, embarks on thrilling adventures with unexpected twists, while also addressing sensitive topics, such as the loss of her mother in the first book. The author's writing journey began in 1990 during her time in Greece, and she honed her skills through a Creative Writing Course with the Writers' Bureau. In 1995, she won first place in an award for an adult fairy story in the Writing Magazine's annual competition. Currently residing in the English countryside with her husband, dogs, cats, and hens, the author is actively involved in volunteering as a coach for Riding for the Disabled and as a mentor at the local secondary school when she's not writing.
