Mike Jacker is a retired orthopedic surgeon who lives in Highland Park, Illinois with his wife, Laurie, their 29-year-old African grey parrot Zeke, and their Brittany spaniel Max. He cruises during the summer on Lake Michigan aboard Joliba, an Ericson 38 that he owns with a partner. In addition to sailing, Mike enjoys kayaking, flying sailplanes, boat building, dancing, and photographing local wildlife.
