The author was born in Jamaica. At the age of nine, she moved to Winnipeg, MB. It was a cold welcome to Canada. The experience of being a Canadian-Jamaican has made an incredible impact on her life. She loves herself more every day. Through her writing, she has found a powerful outlet to free her mind. The author has been abused, heartbroken and betrayed; she has loved and been loved. Everything she has written in this book is to inspire others that no matter what the odds, you can overcome them. Rise above it all to be strong and free.
