Autorenporträt
Andrew King is a professor at the University of Leicester and a visiting professor at Leiden Observatory, and is Long-Term Visitor at the University of Amsterdam. His academic awards include a PPARC Senior Fellowship; Gauss Professor, Göttingen; Professeur Invité, Université Paris VII; a Royal Society Wolfson Merit Award; and the Eddington Medal of the Royal Astronomical Society. He is a co-author of Accretion Power in Astrophysics (1985, 1992, 2002) and Astrophysical Flows (2007), and author of Stars: A Very Short Introduction (2012).
