Lifelong residents of Solano County and members of numerous historical organizations, authors Elissa A. DeCaro and L.M. Ewing gathered the contents of this book from the collections of the Vacaville Heritage Council, Solano County Historical Society, and local residents. DeCaro, president of the Solano County Historical Society, has a bachelor of arts in history and is an advocate for historic preservation. Ewing has a bachelor of arts in history and expertise with computers.
