Dr. Kuasha Mahmud was born in a respectable Muslim Family on 31 October, 1969 at the Village- Ruppur under Ishwardi Upazilla in Pabna District. He obtained B.Sc.Ag. (Hons.) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh in the year 1992. He also obtained MS in Horticulture and PhD in Biotechnology in the year 1998 and 2015 respectively.
