This book covers the academic research in five subjects, i.e. effect of conservation tillage on root yield and quality of sugar beet, effect of conservation tillage on weed control in sugar beet cropping system, effect of drought stress on root yield and antioxidant enzyme activities of sugar beet, variable rate herbicide application using the global positioning system and weed segmentation using texture features extracted from wavelet sub-images.

O Dr. Majid Rashidi obteve o grau de Doutor pela Universidade de Teerão, Irão. É professor assistente desde 2006 no Centro de Investigação e Educação Agrícola e de Recursos Naturais de Teerão, AREEO, Varamin, Irão. Conduziu com sucesso muitas pesquisas na sua especialidade. É também autor de vários livros e artigos.
