Experiment was carried out at Argyauli, 2, Nawalparasi in farmer s field during May to November 2011 with the objective of finding appropriate rice cultivar and transplanting date for optimum yield in changed climatic situation of western Terai Dalle produced the best mean yield 4.96 ton per hector and 17th July proved to be the best transplanting date with mean yield 3.58 ton per hector. Cultivar Dalle proved the best drought resistant yielding best in all transplanting dates over tested cultivars.
