The work in this research highlights the synthesis and antibacterial evaluation of azo dyes of new coumarin derivatives. We have synthesized some novel derivatives of coumarin by Betti's protocol and further azo dyes of these derivatives. The research work includes also deals with new oxazine heterocycles synthesized from 7-Hydroxy-4-methyl coumarin by Betti's procedure. Majority of the compounds showed moderate to excellent antibacterial activity against both the organisms.

Dr. Pravin S. Jogi is working as ¿Associate Professor and Head¿ of Department of Chemistry at Janata Mahavidyalaya, Chandrapur, Maharashtra, India since February, 2006. He did Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in 2014. He has 16 years experience of Teaching at UG and PG level. He has around 10 years of Research experience in Organic Chemistry.
