These two Handbooks are a product of Njala University Staff and UNIDO's Technical expert working together under UNIDO's Technical Support to Njala University to enable it become a Centre of Excellence for Entrepreneurship Development in Sierra Leone. The Handbooks are to be used by students in tertiary institutions for their Entrepreneurship education. The Handbooks are effective learning aides that will help students to develop or acquire entrepreneurial competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes) that will motivate them to search for and identify opportunities from their surroundings or any other place, select their best choices and successfully implement them for their personal benefit or that of their families, communities or country. Entrepreneurship education will also help students use their technical knowledge and skills to earn a living whether in paid or self employment. After successfully studying entrepreneurship, the students will either become enterprising personsin whatever they choose to do in their lives, or micro or small scale entrepreneurs with high potential to grow their enterprises.

Bob K. Conteh from Bumba Village, Northern Sierra Leone was educated at S. L.Grammar School, Njala, Reading and Leeds Universities, earning Bachelors, Masters, PhD degrees respectively in Development Economics. Spent 27 years in Central Banking, attaining Director Banking and International Finance positions and became Deputy VC at Njala University.
