This book aims to demonstrate the differences steps of the calculation of the compressive strength load using the Brazilian standard NBR 8800 (2008) and the European standard Eurocode 3 (2010) using as an example an industrial shed in steel structure. The use of modeling and structural calculation programs is of utmost importance, because they allow the application of various loads and changing the calculation variables, being fundamental to project the real situation that the project is and adopt the correct dimensioning of steel structures without generating unnecessary costs and always aiming the agility and safety of the project.
