Concrete production and construction and demolition waste generation are some of the main contributors of constant carbon dioxide emission into the atmosphere. The overall construction and demolition waste generation worldwide is already more than several billion tones and increasing constantly. As a developing country, India need to develop system to monitor and utilize its huge CDW generated. By the population growth there is a increased need of new road construction and also maintenance of those existing roads. Therefore it catches an attention to the reduction of natural materials such as coarse aggregate. Recycled coarse aggregate is a kind of aggregate which is made by crushing and reclaiming the concrete which is already being used in construction work. The construction and demolition operation produce a vast quantity of construction waste. This Research focuses to investigate the possibility of using recycled coarse aggregate in road construction mainly in the sub base layer as a partial or full replacement to natural coarse aggregate.
