About the Author Sherod "Sha Stimuli" Khaalis is an author, hip-hop artist, and educator born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Khaalis received his start in the music business interning at Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records and later signed a recording contract with Virgin Records under the moniker, Sha Stimuli. Along with releasing music independently, accumulating and performing for fans around the world, and winning Underground Music Awards in 2007 and 2008, he was also a contributing writer for XXL, The Source magazine, Creative Loafing, and HipHopWired.com. Khaalis is a cum laude graduate of Delaware State University but boasts that his greatest achievement is watching the successes of young people whose lives he has positively impacted. He is a proud husband and father of two boys and currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
