Jan Balbierz is a Professor at the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków. He is the author of A New cosmos. Strindberg, Science and Signs (Gdäsk 2008) and other books and articles on Scandinavian Modernism and comparative literature.
