Some of these stories are long, some short. They concern people of all ages at different places, different times. Some stories are about love, some about work. Life's problems come big and small: the intriquing part is often in their resolution. And a unique point of view. The fabric of life enfolds from my street to your street.

Autorenporträt
Betty Lane lives with husband Eric in an untidy but interesting Victorian house in leafy Cardiff. The walls are covered with large pictures that she has made and exhibited over the years, some ceramic, some photographic, mainly of images from astronomy. There are portraits in terra-cotta of persons known and unknown. There are two pianos in the house. Eric plays jazz piano in pubs and concert venues and at home; the house is often graced with the sounds of favourite pieces from his formidable record collection. As well as the pictures and the portraits, Betty has written and had published a book of poems called 'Passionate Landscape, ' a memoir called 'Me, a novel called 'Clay.'
