Whether science is to be a course that is appropriate for all pupil or a preparation for pupils specializing in science or the course to be responsive to the interests and ideas of young people or primarily to reflect the structure of the discipline or to be promoted as a body of knowledge or for inquiry and speculation on the part of the pupils. The development of cognitive and psychomotor skills, The ability to undertake inquires, Understanding the nature of the scientific antagonism, Understanding the relationship between science and society The development of a service personnel with these aims are equally reflected in the policy. If only to satisfy these policy statements, teaching and learning science by the Gambian children is worth it.
