Cheryl Taylor was raised in northern Michigan, on the shores of Lake Huron. After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Agricultural Communications, she moved to Arizona, where she worked for Livestock Communications for nine years before earning a masters from Northern Arizona University and working as a special education teacher for 15 years. During the time she was a teacher, she continued working freelance in publishing, writing and photography.
