Autorenporträt
Izzy is a queer poet living in the haunted city of York where she cohosts BeSpeak - a community of open mic poetry and storytelling nights. A recent graduate of the University of York, she has been involved in running events all around the city, and is especially proud to have been invited to perform at the inclusive 'Poetry for All' event, as well as 'Beyond The Vote', 2018. Izzy draws her inspiration from classical mythology, fairytales and the wonderful people she meets working as a bartender. Her writing blends light and dark magic, with rage and fiercest love, all drawn from the sweet earth and the unruly seas. Her lifelong love of storytelling and magic, has inspired a commitment to capturing raw emotions and weaving them into spells.
