While in the process of obtaining his undergraduate degree, he was a member of the Sonic Boom of the South Marching Band. Upon marrying Deborah N. Perkins (2018), his wife of twenty-eight years, they served the Body of Christ faithfully in various capacities. He is currently a member and elder at Freedom Ministries, Int'l Church, Jackson, MS.
