Donnie was born and raised in the cotton fields of South Georgia and is the 7th of 9 children. After graduating from Southern Technical Institute he joined the United States Navy. He met the love of his life, Cheryl, at 19 years old. She shared the Gospel with him and He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in that same year. They've been married for over 50 years, have three grown sons, six grandchildren and reside in Flowery Branch, GA.
