Sufoof-e-mohazzil is used by Unani physicians for treatment of obesity. The present work involves standardization of Sufoof-e-mohazzil in order to assess the quality of In-house and marketed formulations. This can be used as referencestandard to evaluate the quality control in herbal industries and to overcome batch-to-batch variations. Dr. Avinash Patil, Associate Professor, Dept. of Botany, Birla College, Kalyan, India holds Ph.D. degree from University of Mumbai. His areas of research are PTC, Ethnobotany and Medicinal plants. He is actively involved in research projects on Antidiabetic and Anticancer activity of medicinal plants and published many research papers.
