The experience instilled in Hendricks an insatiable love for the outdoors lifestyle and set his course for a thrilling life in outdoor journalism, including tenures at the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and the Missouri Department of Conservation.In 1999, Hendricks's first book, "Arkansas: A Guide to Backcountry Travel and Adventure," established his beloved Arkansas as a premier destination for adventure tourism. Since 2005, Hendricks has shared his experiences with a statewide audience as the award-winning outdoors editor of the "Arkansas Democrat-Gazette" and also as a longtime radio personality in Central Arkansas.
