Ann came by her baseball roots naturally, having grown up in baseball crazy St. Louis. Her mom used to hangout at legendary Hall of Fame, then-Cardinals manager Branch Rickey's house(classmates with his daughter) and later taught Hall of Fame, Cardinals announcer Jack Buck's son, Joe. Plus, her sister lived next door to another legend, Cardinal Hall of Famer Stan Musial! The path to the Washington Nationals started when Ann transitioned from working for a hard rock radio station in L.A. (KWEST, now defunct) to a career with the CIA. She spent twenty-five years working as an operations officer, serving her country and seeing the world while enjoying a tremendously meaningful and exciting job.
