In this report, we studied for a herbal source of Insulin from Spirulina, as it contains the highest concentration of protein in its biomass and as it can probably overcome the hypersensitivity reactions - local or systemic presenting itself as erythema, swelling, heat, or subcutaneous nodules which is due to the external use of purer forms of porcine insulin. Another one of the major advantage is the low cost of the herbal source of insulin.
