Dr. Dipak Kumar Rana fez o seu doutoramento na Universidade de Jadavpur. Juntou-se como Professor Assistente no Colégio Saldiha, Bankura no ano 2010 e serve esta instituição até à data. O seu interesse de investigação é a fotoquímica, química de superfície, detecção de fluorescência, modulação experimental e teórica da fotofísica das moléculas de drogas.
