Anita Price Davis has lived in Spartanburg County and has taught at Converse College for 35 years; she holds a bachelor's and a master's degree from Appalachian State and a doctorate from Duke. The loss of her own father during World War II prompted her to honor veterans for their sacrifices. James M. Walker, a retired educator of 31 years, is currently a professional photographer.
