Cynthia Vawter has had a passion to help children navigate their way through life's difficulties for as long as she can remember. She was adopted at the age of nine and both parents were teachers. Her father was a math professor while her mother was a reading specialist in elementary school. Subsequently, she experienced the magic of books and the ability for them to take you places! She taught in elementary for nearly twenty-two years with reading and writing always favorite subjects! It was during this time she found herself needing a book that would touch on the solar system for a science lesson while also engaging literacy elements. She ended up writing and illustrating Space Dreams that weekend! After reading it aloud, her class brainstormed ideas for a title! Space Dreams won hands down! She will forever remember that special year with such an amazing class!
