David M. Gaffin has been a senior forecaster with the National Weather Service in Morristown, Tennessee since 2002, and has been in the NWS since 1994. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1990. In 1993, he received a Master of Science degree in meteorology from Texas A&M University. David has published many scientific articles concerning weather across the southern Appalachian region in peer-reviewed professional journals.
