Today, there are a number of often conflicting definitions of geo-economics that deviate far from the original formulation. Proceeding from it, the book considers questions of dynamics of the initial concept of geo-economics. Theoretical design of the author is used at studying of geo-economic questions of the countries of Southern Caucasus. Each country aspires to the general goals of civilization development, but goes to them on its own way. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the countries of the South Caucasus (the so-called republics, and in fact colonies of the Soviet empire) had to cope with the problem of transition from centralized to market economy. This transition was fraught with great difficulty. Often economic processes developed spontaneously and, as a rule, by trial and error. Against the backdrop of the current geopolitical situation, the book analyzes the specifics of geo-economic development in the post-Soviet Caucasus.
