Francis Rumsey is Consultant Editor and Technical Writer for the Journal of the AES, an independent consultant, and organist. Until 2009 he was a Professor at the University of Surrey (UK). He is a Fellow of the AES, and holds the AES Bronze Medal. Tim McCormick worked mainly as a freelance sound and electronics engineer, spending periods at the Royal Exchange Theatre Manchester, the Midas division of Klark Teknik, and with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has also written pieces on such diverse topics as medieval architecture and life modeling.
