In the present research, 33 species of Compositae under 24 genera were recorded from the Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, Central Nepal. Genus Anaphalis has the highest number of species (5) which are Anaphalis adanta, Anaphalis busua, Anaphalis contorta, Anaphalis margaritacea and Anaphalis triplinervis. The second largest genus is Conyza with 3 species (Conyza canadensis, Conyza japonica and Conyza stricta) and Bidens with 2 species (Bidens biternata and Bidens pilosa).

Dr. Sabina Singh (Shrestha) has obtained her Ph.D degree in Botany in 2014. Since then she has been doing different research in plant science and she has been teaching botany since 1992. She has published two dozens of research papers in different national and international journals.She has also supervised a dozen of Msc thesis.
