The 10th (Service) Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment was formed at Winchester in August 1914, the month that the Great War broke out. The battalion landed in France in September 1915, and from there were sent to Salonika on the Macedonian front. This history gives in diary form an informative account actions both small and large, the narrative gives individual names and decorations given for specific actions.
