Density ( ), coefficient of viscosity ( ), speed of sound (u), refractive index (nD) and some of their derived properties of the two liquid-liquid binary solutions: 2-Ethoxyethanol (EE) + Tetrahydrofuran (THF) and 2-Butoxyethanol (BE) + Tetrahydrofuran (THF) have been studied between 298.15 K and 323.15 K temperatures at an interval of 5 K in the whole range of composition, 0 x2 1, where x2 is the mole fraction of THF. Excess molar volume (VmE), Partial molar volume (V), apparent molal volume ( v) thermal expansivity ( ) as well as its excess value ( E) have been estimated from the measured density ( ) data. The deviation of sound velocity (Deltau), acoustical impedance (Z), excess acoustic impedance (ZE), isentropic compressibility ( s) and deviation in isentropic compressibility deviation (Delta s) have also been derived from their and u data.In this study it is thought that the association of hydrogen bonds between like molecules predominates. Also, there is possibility of formation of some complexes and the pi...H interaction between pi electrons of THF and hydrogen atom of the hydroxyl group of alkoxyalkanol.
