A comparison and analyses of solar thermal and solar photovoltaic (PV) air-conditioning technologies for a Typical Single Family House (TSFH) in two different MENA climates, Aswan-Egypt and Aqaba-Jordan, are performed. The building cooling demand is firstly obtained from annual building simulation in TRNSYS software. Based on these simulation results, three scenarios are designed in order to compensate the TSFH's annual cooling demand in each selected climate. These scenarios are solar thermal air-conditioning with storage (absorption chiller), PV air-conditioning without storage and PV…mehr

These scenarios are solar thermal air-conditioning with storage (absorption chiller), PV air-conditioning without storage and PV air-conditioning with storage. The cooling compensation is simulated by Matlab-Simulink for each scenario.
