Ferrites assume special significance in the field of electronic, telecommunication and bio-ceramics. Development of high quality low cost and low loss materials with suitable structural, magnetic and electrical properties is an ever challenging aspect of investigation. The current focus is to synthesize ferrites with well controlled shape and size, fine morphology, uniform composition and desired magnetic properties at lower sintering temperatures for their use in electronic industry. Such properties of ferrites are found to be sensitive to their compositional and preparatory techniques. Keeping this in view, the present work has been undertaken to synthesize pure and Co-Zr doped M-type hexagonal ferrites applying different wet methods followed by their characterization and study of their magnetic and electrical properties. The MS and HC of ferrite are key parameters which determine effectiveness of material in different applications.
