The magnitude of reproductive (Gynecological and obstetric) morbidity among the women residing in the slums of Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam cities and their health seeking behaviour in the event of illness, through a rapid survey, so as to inform programme implementer. Resorted to two stage sampling procedure and primary data have been collected from the female respondents who were the residents of the slums of Tirupati, Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada and who were married and were in the age group 15-59 years. The data collection from 200 respondents carried out from each city using an interview schedule, information was collected on demographic characteristics of household, details on self-reported reproductive morbidity, duration of illness, health care-seeking behaviour, and reasons for not seeking care. Secondary data on available health facilities were obtained from the Health Department of Tirupati, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporations. The statistical test ² analysis was performed for categorical variables and tested for statistical significance.

He obtained Ph.D in the Department of Population Studies and Social Work in 2012 from S.V. University, Tirupati. He worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work at Arba Minch University Ethiopia, Africa.
