Here lies the text, Short Commentary on the Illumnation of the Creed as written by the late authority, Imam `Abdul Qadir ibn Badran Ad-Dumi (d.1346), may Allah have mercy upon him. This is a commentary on the classic work, Illumination of the Creed (Ar.Lum`at ul-I`tiqad), by Imam Muwaffaq ud-Din Ibn Qudamah Al-Maqdisi (d.620), may Allah have mercy upon him, who penned the work after having gathered together all the works of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (d.241), may Allah be pleased with him, on theology and reducing them to a rhyming text with ayat and ahadith for easy memorisation by students and scholars alike. Memorised and commented upon over 900 years, the Illumination is then commented upon with additional notes and beneficial advice that further enlightens the reader on everything from the doctrine of tafwid all the way to Signs of the End of Time and the Day of Resurrection.
