KAREN THORNTON B.SoSci (Hons) Archaeology Karen's interest in the beauty and nature of the human spirit is inspired by the footprints we have carved within our world, and how we connect to it. Karen's love of sacred structure and the magic and mystery it unveils stems from her award winning background and working experience within the field of sacred architecture and sacred landscape. This led her to undertake an Honours degree in archaeology at JCU University in Cairns - Far North Queensland, Australia. Karen's field of vision has been driven by both adventure and exploration as she explored our connection to the lived environment. In her quest to understand the sacred aspect of earth systems and how they may be linked into the ancient way of perceiving reality, her travels have taken her on a global journey of cultural significance throughout the ancient and modern world. Karen's lived experience has led her to recognise that the function of the ancient architect or artist was to express in material form an insight into a higher spiritual reality. Such insights then become available to others through the connected and creative process of customs and culture. This process involved story, song, dance and art, skills that once shaped the beauty and magnificence of the collective consciousness through vibration, symbolism and sacred structure. Further study of sacred structure and monumental temples has led Karen to explore the patterns and sequences of the sound of stone and how it may be related to people and place within the framework of earth systems. The same systems connected to the divine feminine principles of magic and mystery, these principles were alive within every aspect of ancient earth. The Goddess culture of prehistory lived in a period where no evidence of weapons or warfare have yet been found. Global trends and growing demands threaten our future source of empowerment. Developing and developed countries are experiencing rapid demographic changes due to population growth, extreme climatic conditions and earth movements. Within our habitat their remains an urgent need to open our eyes, to see the beauty of our connectedness to the earth and each other. Within the archaeological platform of sacred structure, there remains evidence we can explore on how it may have functioned within the framework of people and place. What If; within the concept of sacred geometry and quantum physics their lies a divine benevolent system of earth technology, ancient patterns of divine proportion and vibration transformed into intelligent systems designed to activate and enhance the balance of human consciousness. Walk with me as we are reminded once again of the true beauty and significance of the Human Spirit.
